The science behind Tailoredomics

About Tailoredomics

Bioinformatics grounded in laboratory experience.

Tailoredomics provides microbial genomics, metagenomics, microbiome, transcriptomics and proteomics data analysis for researchers in academia and industry. Each project starts with the biological question, the experimental context and what the available data can support.

Meet the founder

Rubén Javier-López, PhD

Founder and Bioinformatician

Rubén holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Bergen, Norway. His background spans experimental microbiology and computational analysis, with research experience in microbial genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and microbiome studies.

He has taken research projects from experimental design and laboratory work through data analysis, biological interpretation and scientific publication. That experience shapes how Tailoredomics approaches your data: with attention to how it was generated and the question it is meant to answer.

When you work with Tailoredomics, you communicate directly with Rubén about the analysis and its interpretation.

From the bench to the biological question

Your experiment gives the data its meaning

Sample preparation, sequencing technology, controls and biological variation all influence what an analysis can tell you. Understanding these details helps connect computational results to the experiment behind them.

Tailoredomics brings this perspective to downstream data analysis. Established methods are selected and adapted to suit your samples, study design and research aims. Findings are discussed alongside the quality of the evidence and the limitations of the data.

How we work

Start with the question

We discuss your research aims, available data and experimental design, then agree the analytical scope and deliverables.

Make the analysis understandable

We explain the methods and key analytical decisions, report relevant quality checks and make limitations clear.

Keep the conversation scientific

You can discuss results directly with the person carrying out the analysis, including unexpected findings and questions that emerge along the way.

Research behind the approach
